Dunkerque-Port is placed under the authority of the delegate ministry to the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, responsible for Transport.
Board of directors
The Management Board is the Port of Dunkirk’s operational decision-making body. It proposes general policy guidelines to the Supervisory Board. It prepares, submits to the Supervisory Board for approval and implements the strategic project and the budget.

The Supervisory Board was created in 2008 following the decree of 9 October 2008 on port reform. Its purpose is to set the strategic direction of the company and exercise ongoing control over its activities and the decisions taken by the Management Board. The term of office for members of the Supervisory Board is five years.

In accordance with the law, the Development Council issues an opinion on the strategic project, pricing policy and any other issue submitted by the Supervisory Board or the Management Board.
