With an annual traffic of approximately 50 million tonnes, Dunkirk is one of the leading ports in Northern Europe. Versatile and capable of handling all types of cargo flows, it forms, together with the other seaports in Hauts-de-France, one of France’s foremost port complexes.
Today, the ecosystem of the Port of Dunkirk encompasses a wide diversity of maritime, logistics, and industrial activities. This network generates an added value of approximately €3.8 billion annually and supports more than 29,000 jobs, whether direct, indirect, or induced.
Thanks to new projects currently underway, the Port of Dunkirk expects to create an additional 20,000 jobs by 2030, further strengthening its economic and social impact.
By developing a sustainable and innovative economic model, the port and the wider region have firmly committed to an ambitious climate change mitigation strategy, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
